The move to a new version of Movable Type was far more brutal than it should have been. SixApart suffers from the Apple disease - if it doesn't just work, you are reduced to mumbling random incantations to figure out what's going on. Which is annoying mostly because it's so unnecessary. Problems in OS X and other Unix systems are almost always configuration and permission issues, and are trivial to fix, if you know where to look. But unless you breathe this stuff, you rarely know where to look, and Apple/SixApart/Unix geeks in general are rarely helpful about providing a clue, or even acknowledging that it's their problem that their damn application does not perform as advertised. Grrrrr.
